Bethany, Oklahoma - The New Mexico Highlands soccer team came up on the short end of a 4-0 decision to Southern Nazarene University Saturday afternoon in Bethany, Oklahoma. The match against The Storm closed out the non-conference portion of the 2023 season for the Cowgirls.
NMHU yielded three first half goals on Saturday to Southern Nazarene. The Storm would add another goal mid-way through the second half enroute to the final margin of victory.
Peyton Greener was credited with eight saves in goal for the Cowgirls.
Izzie Scott and
Jennifer Mueller each had two shots on goal to pace NMHU.
New Mexico Highlands now turns its attention to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches. First up is their 2023 home opener this Friday afternoon when Colorado Mesa comes to Las Vegas. Match time is set for 3:00 pm.
