Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands University soccer team lost to nationally-ranked Colorado Mesa University 5-0 on Friday afternoon in Las Vegas. The match was the RMAC opener for both teams.
The Cowgirls are 0-4-1 after the setback while the Mavericks improve to 6-0-0.
NMHU allowed three first half goals on Friday afternoon. Colorado Mesa added two more second half tallies enroute to the final margin of victory.
The Cowgirls return to action on Sunday afternoon as Westminster University visits Las Vegas. Match time at Sanchez Family Stadium is 1:00 pm. The Griffins defeated Adams State 3-0 Friday afternoon in Alamosa.
