Las Vegas, New Mexico - Adams State defeated New Mexico Highlands 3-0 (25-28, 25-20, 25-23) this evening in the Wilson Complex.
Thursday's match was the first of a 3-day, 3-match Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regional Pod and does not count in the conference standings. Adams State plays Fort Lewis tomorrow evening before New Mexico Highlands hosts the Skyhawks to close out the weekend's play. Both matches will begin at 6:00 pm.
The Cowgirls are now 1-13 on the season while Adams State improves to 4-9. Regional Pod Matches do not count in conference standings.
Aziza Morris recorded a match-high 15 kills this evening for the Cowgirls while
Abby Carlsen led the way with 19 assists. Defensively,
Layla Hooks posted five blocks and
Amirah Young chipped in with eight digs.
