The Cowgirls opened the day with a four set loss to the host Tigers, 25-22, 25-14, 18-25, 25-14. NMHU hit .132 for the match.

Jaylee Gonzales led the team with 9 kills.

In the second match of the day, the Cowgirls fell to Cameron University 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

The Cowgirls play two more matches in Hays on Saturday. Up first is Minnesota State-Mankato followed by a match-up with Southern Nazarene University to close out the 2023 Tiger Classic.
