Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team dropped a 58-49 decision to MSU-Denver on Friday evening in the Wilson Complex. The loss drops the Cowgirls record to 4-11 overall and 3-6 in the RMAC. MSU-Denver improves to 3-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
The visitors ran out to a 15-5 lead at the end of the opening quarter and the Cowgirls could not close the gap the rest of the way.

Delani Harris logged her second double-double of the season as she scored 12 points and snagged 10 rebounds.
Juliana Aragon led the Cowgirls with 13 points.
Neysa Munguia recorded a game high three blocked shots.
As a team, NMHU shot 38% from the floor and held MSU-Denver to 33% shooting on the night. The Roadrunners held a 34-30 edge in rebounding.
The Cowgirls are back in action tomorrow as they host nationally ranked Colorado Mines at 5:00 pm.
