Cowgirls Defeated By Colorado School Of Mines

Las Vegas, New Mexico - Nationally ranked Colorado School of Mines defeated the New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team 68-47 on Saturday evening in the Wilson Complex. With the loss, the Cowgirls fall to 4-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play. The Orediggers, currently ranked eighth in the latest WBCA Division II poll, improve to 14-1 overall and 9-0 in the RMAC.

Junior Emily Burk paced NMHU with nine points as she converted three of four attempts from beyond the arc. Aja Scott and Vanessa Herrera each grabbed five rebounds and Neysa Munguia had a game high two blocks.

The Cowgirls return to action this coming Tuesday as they will be in Colorado for a 5:30 pm game at CSU-Pueblo.
