Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys kick-off a stretch of three consecutive road games Tuesday evening in Colorado at CSU-Pueblo. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
The ThunderWolves enter play on Tuesday with an overall record of 8-7 and a 4-5 mark in conference play. Brevin Walter leads CSU-Pueblo in scoring at 18.5 points per game. Makiah Morris is the leading rebounder for the ThunderWolves at 6.8 per outing. CSU-Pueblo is fourth in scoring (80.0 per game) and fifth in scoring margin (+5.7 points per game) in the RMAC.
NMHU enters Tuesday's game at 7-8 overall and 4-6 in the RMAC. A trio of Cowboys,
Kenard Richardson (10.6),
AC Curry (10.3), and
Kyrie Thomas (10.0), are scoring in double figures.
Ezichi Kalu is fifth in the RMAC in rebounds per game (7.4 per game) while Kalu and
AC Curry are sixth and seventh respectively in blocks per game.
Messiah Turner (83.8%) and
Kenard Richardson (83.3%) rank among the top ten in the conference in free throw percentage. As a team, NMHU is fourth in the RMAC in field goal defense holding teams to .426 shooting.
Up next, the Cowboys play in Gunnison this coming Saturday afternoon at Western Colorado. Tip-off with the Mountaineers is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
