Spearfish, South Dakota - A lopsided fourth quarter propelled Black Hills State to a 74-52 win over New Mexico Highlands on Friday evening. With the loss, the Cowgirls are now 4-15 overall and 3-10 in the RMAC. Black Hill State improves to 10-5 overall and 7-4 in the conference.
The two teams played back and forth basketball through three quarters with the lead changing four times. The last lead for the Cowgirls on Friday came in the third quarter when
Delani Harris converted a layup to make the score 32-31. The hosts posted a big fourth quarter enroute to the final margin of victory.
Delani Harris led the way for the Cowgirls on Friday as she scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Juliana Aragon added 14 points and a game high five assists.
Neysa Munguia had a game high eight rebounds.
The Cowgirls are back in action this coming weekend when UCCS and Regis visit the Wilson Complex.
