Spearfish, South Dakota - The NMHU soccer team found itself back on the road Friday night as they played at Black Hills State and came up on the wrong end of a 5-0 decision. The Cowgirls are now 2-7-2 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play.
The host Yellow Jackets tallied three first half goals and a pair in the second half to secure the margin of victory Friday.
Black Hills State out shot NMHU 5-3 in the match.
"Unfortunately the long drive to South Dakota did not pay off for us. We struggled to find the energy we needed to be proactive in this game," said Head Coach
Amanda Evans after the match. "Congratulations to the Black Hills State seniors for winning their senior game."
The Cowgirls wrap up the road trip on Sunday morning playing at Regis. Match-time is set for 11:00 am in Denver.
