Las Vegas, New Mexico - NMHU Volleyball a pair of conference matches in the Wilson Complex this weekend hosting Fort Lewis on Friday at 6:00 pm and Western Colorado on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
The Cowgirls will host a Free Kids Clinic after Saturday's match that is open to participants aged 5 to 13.
Head Coach:
Meg Grose is in her first season leading the New Mexico Highlands volleyball team. She was named the new head coach in December of last year after spending the 2023 season as the Head Coach at Lawrence University. She spent time as the assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands from 2020 to 2023.
LAST WEEK: The Cowgirls went 2-1 last week winning a non-conference match at Western New Mexico 3-1 on Tuesday and beating Colorado Mines 3-2 on Friday. The lone setback of the week came on Friday night as nationally-ranked MSU-Denver won 3-0 in the Wilson Complex.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Fort Lewis is 8-16 overall and 2-5 in the RMAC entering play on Friday. The Skyhawks defeated NMHU 3-1 last month as part of the RMAC's Regional Pod play. Head Coach Giedre Tarnauskaite is in her fifth season leading the Skyhawks program. Fort Lewis holds an 8-2 lead in the last ten matches played in the series.
Western Colorado is 11-11 overall and 3-3 in conference play so far this season. The Mountaineers won matches against Fort Lewis and Black Hills State last weekend. Jordan Bruere is in her second season at the helm of the WCU program. NMHU holds a 6-4 lead in the past ten matches played in the series. Western Colorado defeated the Cowgirls 3-1 last season in Gunnison.

RMAC NETWORK: All of the Cowgirls remaining matches will be broadcast on the RMAC Network. Once again this season, NMHU home matches will be handled by New Mexico Broadcaster of the Year Scott Galetti.
