Las Vegas, New Mexico - For the second time this season, Mother Nature impacted an NMHU Soccer Match as lightning delays extended Friday's match by nearly two hours. In the end, MSU-Denver left with a 3-0 win over the Cowgirls.
NMHU is now 2-9-2 overall and 0-6-1 in RMAC play.
The two teams were scoreless for the first 25 minutes of the match before the Roadrunners cracked the scoring column. 15 minutes later, the visitors converted on a penalty kick to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. MSU-Denver scored again after the long weather delays to get to the final margin of victory.
The Cowgirls now have a week off until their next match as nationally ranked Colorado School of Mines visits Las Vegas next Friday afternoon for a 3:00 pm match.
