Las Vegas, NM—The Cowgirls played a tight game Friday afternoon against the No. 1 ranked Colorado School of Mines Orediggers.
1st Half: The Cowgirls' defense was phenomenal in the first half, holding the Orediggers to no goals scored behind five saves from Peyton Greener. Greener made a total of 10 saves in the game.Â
2nd Half: The Orediggers took seven more shots on goal in the second half, and two of them wound up being a goal for the Orediggers. One would hit off the crossbar on a free kick and end up landing perfectly to a Mines player as she kicked in for the score, and the Cowgirls ultimately fell at the end of a hard-fought game.Â
The Cowgirls are in action again for Senior Day against the Colorado Christian Cougars on Sunday, October 27, at 1:00 PM (MST). The Senior festivities will take place at 12:30 PM (MST) on the RMAC Network
