Las Vegas, New Mexico - The NMHU volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-22, 25-16, 15-25, 25-15) decision to Western Colorado on Saturday afternoon. The Cowgirls are now 4-14 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
For the match Western Colorado outhit the Cowgirls .295 to .233
Jaylee Gonzales posted her third double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs.
Meg Pfannerstill led NMHU with 13 kills in the match.
Abby Carlsen had 17 digs while
Olivia Archuleta added 13.
After the match, the team hosted a clinic for youngsters aged 5-13. 25 aspiring players spent time with the Cowgirls going over volleyball fundamentals on the Wilson Complex Court.
Up next, NMHU hits the road for a pair of matches in South Dakota beginning on Friday in Rapid City against South Dakota Mines at 6:00 pm.
