Las Vegas, New Mexico - NMHU is on the road for a pair of matches this weekend. On Friday the Cowgirls play at South Dakota Mines in a 6:00 pm match. Then on Saturday at 11:00 am they are at Black Hills State. NMHU is 4-14 overall and 2-6 in RMAC play.
HEAD COACH:
Meg Grose is in her first season leading the New Mexico Highlands volleyball team. She was named the new head coach in December of last year after spending the 2023 season as the Head Coach at Lawrence University. She spent time as the assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands from 2020 to 2023.
LAST WEEK: The Cowgirls lost home matches to Fort Lewis on Friday and Western Colorado on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: South Dakota Mines enters play on Friday at 11-7 overall and 6-2 in the RMAC. They defeated Black Hills State 3-0 on Tuesday evening. Lauren Prochazka is in her ninth season leading the Hardrocker program and she has a career record of 114-119. Friday's match will be the 10th all team meeting between the two teams with South Dakota Mines holding a 5-4 edge in the previous meetings.
Black Hills State is 4-15 overall and 0-9 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets lost at South Dakota Mines 3-0 on Tuesday evening. Bree Davis is in her third season leading the Yellow Jackets where she has a career record of 14-57. Saturday's meeting will be the 12th all-time between the two teams with Black Hills holding a 7-4 lead in the previous meetings.

RMAC NETWORK: All of the Cowgirls remaining matches will be broadcast on the RMAC Network. Once again this season, NMHU home matches will be handled by New Mexico Broadcaster of the Year Scott Galetti.
