Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls continue their home-stand with a pair of matches this weekend. On Friday at 3:00 pm NMHU hosts nationally ranked Colorado School of Mines at 3:00 pm. Then, on Sunday, Colorado Christian visits Las Vegas for a 1:00 pm contest. The Cowgirls enter play Friday with an overall record of 2-9-2 and an 0-6-1 mark in conference play.
EVANS TIME:
Amanda Evans was named the NMHU head coach on March 14th of this year and she earned her first win at the helm of the Cowgirls on September 5th 1-0 over Sul Ross State. Prior to coming to Las Vegas Evans was the head coach at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia. She has 47 career coaching victories in her tenure at the collegiate level.
LAST WEEK: In the lone match of last week NMHU dropped a 3-0 decision to MSU-Denver in a game that featured an extensive delay due to lightning in the second half of the match.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Colorado School of Mines enters play on Friday with a record of 10-1-2 overall and 8-0-0 in conference play. The Orediggers were ranked #1 in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Poll. Kevin Fickes is in his 15th season leading the Orediggers, he has a career record of 237-41-39. The Orediggers won both of their matches last week as they topped Colorado Christian 5-0 and MSU-Denver 2-1.
Colorado Christian comes into Sunday's match with an overall record of 4-7-2 and 3-4-1 in the RMAC. Caleb Cole is in his first season at the helm of the Cougars. CCU split their matches last week losing to Colorado School of Mines 5-0 and defeating Adams State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon in Alamosa. The Cowgirls and Cougars are 5-5-0 in the last ten matches played in the series.
SENIOR DAY:Â Prior to Sunday afternoon's match five players,Â

Izzie Scott, and
Jennifer Mueller, will be recognized as part of Senior Day. If you're planning on attending the match the ceremony will get under way at 12:30 pm. The RMAC Network will broadcast the event.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Junior
Kate Rayner is eighth in the RMAC with four goals scored in 13 matches played. She is also sixth in the conference with 15 shots on goal.
RMAC NETWORK: All of the remaining NMHU Soccer matches will be broadcast on the RMAC Network. Once again this season, Cowgirls' home matches will be called by New Mexico Broadcaster of the Year Scott Galetti.
