Grand Junction, Colorado - Nationally ranked Colorado Mesa handed the Cowgirls a 3-0 loss on Sunday afternoon. NMHU is now 5-19 overall and 2-10 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Colorado Mesa, ranked 14th in this week's AVCA Division II Poll,out hit the Cowgirls .538 to .109.
Senior Angellina Burton led the Cowgirls with nine kills while
Abby Carlsen had 21 assists.
Meg Pfannerstill added a pair of service aces.
Pfannerstill and
Aziza Morris each had two blocks while
Jaylee Gonzales posted five digs.
Up next, the NMHU closes out the 2024 campaign with matches against Chadron State and Colorado Christian. Saturday's match is Senior Day presented by Quality Care.
