Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team is on the road Wednesday evening as they travel to Española to play Northern New Mexico in a 7:00 pm contest. The Cowboys enter the contest at 2-1 on the young season.
NMHU and Northern New Mexico played last Wednesday at the Wilson Complex in a game that saw six Cowboys score in double-figures en route to a 103-81 win over the Eagles.
Kenard Richardson led the way for NMHU with 19 points, five rebounds, and three steals.
The Cowboys won both games against Northern New Mexico in 2023-24 winning the Youth School Day Game in Las Vegas 89-60 and a game in Española 72-65 a week later.
After the game at Northern New Mexico, the Cowboys return home on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference game with CSU-Pueblo. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
