Las Vegas, New Mexico - NMHU volleyball plays the final road matches of the 2024 season this weekend traveling to Salt Lake City and Grand Junction. They play at Westminster on Saturday at 4:00 pm and close out the trip on Sunday against nationally ranked Colorado Mesa at 1:00 pm. The Cowgirls are 5-17 overall and 2-8 in the RMAC.
Head Coach:
Meg Grose is in her first season leading the New Mexico Highlands volleyball team. She was named the new head coach in December of last year after spending the 2023 season as the Head Coach at Lawrence University. She spent time as the assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands from 2020 to 2023.
LAST WEEK: The Cowgirls split a pair of matches as part of the RMAC Power Pod weekend in Gunnison losing to Western Colorado 3-0 on Thursday night and defeating Black Hills State 3-2 on Friday afternoon.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Westminster enters play on Saturday at 9-12 overall and 5-5 in conference play. The Griffins are in contention for a spot in the RMAC Playoffs as they currently sit in the eighth spot in the conference standings. Sue Dulaney is in her third season at Westminster where she has a career record of 27-47.
Colorado Mesa is 19-3 overall and 9-1 in the RMAC. The Mavericks were ranked 14th in this week's AVCA NCAA Division II poll. CMU is currently in second place in the RMAC standings with four matches remaining in the regular season. Dave Fleming is in his 20th season in Grand Junction where he has a career record of 386-181 leading the Maverick program.

RMAC NETWORK: All of the Cowgirls remaining matches will be broadcast on the RMAC Network. Once again this season, NMHU home matches will be handled by New Mexico Broadcaster of the Year Scott Galetti.
UP NEXT: The Cowgirl return home for matches with Chadron State and Colorado Christian next weekend. Prior to Saturday's match, NMHU Volleyball will recognize the 2024 Seniors on the roster.
