Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands welcomes Adams State to historic Las Vegas on Saturday for a 3:00 pm tip-off. The Cowboys are 6-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play after dropping a close game on Tuesday night at Fort Lewis 80-77.
COACH DOMINGUEZ:
Mike Dominguez is in his sixth season leading the Cowboys. The Colorado Mesa product has a career record of 60-62 at NMHU. His first career win came on November 5, 2019, when he led the Cowboys to a 112-108 win over Eastern New Mexico.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Cowboys are averaging 84.0 points per game which is second in the RMAC.

Kenard Richardson is the leading scorer in the RMAc at 18.0 points per game. He is fourth in the conference with 1.6 steals per game and eighth with a 52.0% field goal percentage.

Kyrie Thomas is tenth in the conference shooting 37.7% % from beyond the arc and seventh with 2.3 three point shots made per game.
Freshman
KJ LaMonte is eighth in the RMAC with 1.5 steals per game.
Junior
Daniel Rosenber is eighth in the RMAC with 1.0 blocks per game.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Adams State is 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the RMAC after losing to Fort Lewis 88-71 on Thursday night in Alamosa. Jude Tapia leads the Grizzlies in scoring at 17.1 points per game while Luke Williams is the top rebounder at 5.7 per game. Head Coach Kenny Tripp is in his second season at Adams State where he has a career record of 12-26. Adams State swept the Cowboys last season winning 78-71 in Alamosa and 92-85 in Las Vegas. The two teams play again this season in Alamosa on February 6th.
