Las Vegas, New Mexico - After picking up back-to-back road wins last weekend the Cowboys return home to host nationally ranked Colorado Mesa and Westminster. Game time is set for 7:00 pm Friday and Saturday.
Colorado Mesa, ranked sixth in this week's NABC Coaches Poll, is 21-3 overall and 17-1 in the RMAC. Trevor Baskin leads the Mavericks at 16.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The Cowboys led Colorado Mesa 36-27 at halftime in the early January meeting before falling 94-72.
Westminster, 7-17 overall and 3-15 in the conference, plays at CSU-Pueblo before coming to Las Vegas on Saturday. Senior Trey Wood is the Griffins leading scorer (13.8 points per game) and rebounder (5.6 per game). The Cowboys won in Salt Lake City 76-69 on January 5th.
New Mexico Highlands is 10-13 overall and 7-11 in RMAC play.
Kenard Richardson and
Kyrie Thomas are scoring 11.7 and 10.9 points per game respectively.
Ezichi Kalu leads the Cowboys with 7.6 rebounds per game. Kalu is also third in the RMAC with 1.2 blocks per game.
The Cowboys close out the 2023-24 regular season with road games at Regis and UCCS next weekend.
