Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys play at Regis and UCCS this weekend as they close out the 2023-24 regular season.
Friday NMHU is at the Regis Fieldhouse for a 7:00 pm matchup with the Rangers. Regis is 14-12 overall and 11-9 in the RMAC. Sophomore Chase Mayo Harmon leads Regis in scoring at 16.2 points per game. Tarig Eisa is the leading rebounder at 4.9 per game. The Rangers posted a come from behind victory to beat the Cowboys 94-85 earlier this season in Las Vegas.
On Saturday evening the Cowboys head to Colorado Springs for a 7:00 pm game with UCCS. The Mountain Lions are 11-15 overall and 7-13 in conference play. Xavier Martinez leads UCCS in scoring at 14.6 points per game. The Cowboys defeated UCCS 98-87 last month in Las Vegas. Saturday's game marks the 52nd all-time meeting between the two schools with UCCS holding a 26-25 edge in the previous meetings.
The Cowboys are 10-15 overall and 7-13 in the RMAC. Juniors
Kenard Richardson and
Kyrie Thomas lead NMHU in scoring at 12.6 and 11.5 points per game respectively.
Ezichi Kalu leads the team in rebounding at 7.4 per game. Kalu is second in the RMAC with 1.3 blocked shots per game.
