Albequerque, New Mexico - The Cowboys wrapped up their series with Colorado State University-Pueblo at Santa Anna Star Field today.Â
Game 1: The Thunderwolves jumped out to an early lead up 5-1 in the 3rd and tacked on 2 more in the 7th and one in the 8th. The Cowboys had added one run in the 5th and two runs in the 6th. The Cowboys had a huge 8th inning adding on 5 runs. Headed into the 9th the cowboys trailed by 1 needing two to win it. When Richie Amavizca singles down the left field line the winning run would come home and the cowboys would walk it off to win it.Â
Game 2: Colorado State University Pueblo's offense came out hot scoring three runs in the first and never looked back. The Cowboys offense struggled in game two. However, Carlos Chavez knocked in a pair of runs but the Cowboys would ultimately fall splitting the series on the weekend with the Thunderwolves.
Next Up: The Cowboys are back in action March 21st in Alamosa, Colorado against the Grizzlies of Adams State.
