Colorado Springs, Colorado - The Cowboys closed out the 2023-24 season with a 96-80 loss at UCCS on Saturday night. NMHU ends the season at 10-17 overall and 7-15 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Early on the two teams battled back and forth exchanging for the first eight minutes of the game.
Kenard Richardson converted a layup with 12:15 to go in the opening half that gave the Cowboys a 15-14 lead. UCCS then scored 24 seconds later to retake the lead for good.
Three Cowboys scored in double figures on Saturday night led by seniors
Tyler Rodgers and
Jaylen Domina-Lovato who had 18 and 14 points respectively. Domina-Lovato also grabbed a team high nine rebounds. Junior
Kyrie Thomas went for 13 points and had three assists on the night.
