Grand Junction, Colorado - NMHU opened conference play on Friday night traveling to play Colorado Mesa. The Mavs dealt the Cowgirls, who were playing their sixth consecutive road match, a 6-0 defeat. NMHU is now 2-4-1 on the season.
The host Mavericks jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opening half on Friday night as they scored five goals in an eighteen minute span. CMU added a late goal in the second half to secure the margin of victory.
Up next, the Cowgirls travel to Salt lake City for a Sunday afternoon meeting with Westminster. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
