Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowboys are in action for the first time in 2025 playing at Colorado Mesa on Thursday and Western Colorado on Saturday. NMHU is 7-5 overall and 0-4 in the RMAC.
COACH DOMINGUEZ:
Mike Dominguez is in his sixth season leading the Cowboys. The Colorado Mesa product has a career record of 61-63 at NMHU. His first career win came on November 5, 2019, when he led the Cowboys to a 112-108 win over Eastern New Mexico.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Cowboys are averaging 82.3.0 points per game which is third in the RMAC.

Kenard Richardson is the third leading scorer in the RMAC at 17.0 points per game. He is second in the conference with 1.7 steals per game and eighth with a 48.3% field goal percentage.

Kyrie Thomas is seventh in the RMAC with 2.3 three point shots made per game.
A trio of Cowboys are averaging double figures this season:

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION: Colorado Mesa is 6-6 overall and 0-4 in the RMAC heading into Thursday's game. Ty Allred leads the Mavericks in scoring at 14.5 point per game and Will Mortimore is the leading rebounder at 7.3 per outing. Mike Dunlap is in his first season as the Head Coach at Colorado Mesa. Thursday's game is the 79th all-time meeting between the two long time rivals.
Western Colorado enters play this weekend at 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Mountaineers host Fort Lewis on Thursday night before playing the Cowboys. Kade Juelfs is the team's leading scorer at 12.6 per game while Jamel Hollins leads with 6.5 rebounds per outing. Zac Claus is in his second season as the head coach of the Mountaineers where he has a 15-24 record. Western Colorado won the lone meeting last season, topping NMHU 76-65 in Gunnison in mid-January.
