Roadrunners Speed Past Cowgirls

Las Vegas, New Mexico - Cowgirls fall to Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners out shot the Cowgirls 20-3 in the contest.

Starting in the first half, the Roadrunners scored two of their goals early, the first one coming in the 12:45 mark, and then 30 seconds later got their second.

In the second half, the Roadrunners score three more times, and the Cowgirls fall 5-0.

#4,000: Cowgirls Senior defender Devyn Gunn surpassed 4,000 career minutes in the contest.

Head Coach Amanda Evans, following today's loss, discussed what she saw against a strong MSU-Denver team.

"Another tough loss for them. Metro is a strong and established program. We had some positive moments in playing more aggressively and anticipating the passes, we are still working on our consistency. But it was nice to see some players step up and do what we asked in moments of the game."

UP NEXT: Cowgirls are back in action next Friday as they travel to Durango to take on the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis.
