Western New Mexico shot 55.3% for the game, including 60.0% in the second half, as they defeated the Cowboys for the second time this season.
The first half was close, with the lead changing four times in the first ten minutes. With the game tied at 12-12 at the 10:02 mark of the opening half, the visitors went on a 23-6 run to close out the half.

Dontae Walker led the Cowboys with a career high 18 points.
Nikk Williams and
Ibrahima Sacko each grabbed six rebounds to pace NMHU.
Western New Mexico held a 32-28 edge in rebounding.
The Cowboys play an exhibition game on Monday night at 7:00 pm in the Pit against New Mexico. They then head to Denver to open the RMAC portion of the schedule on Thursday night against Regis at 5:00 pm.
