Cowgirls Fall in Season Finale

Las Vegas, New Mexico- The Cowgirls wrapped up the 2025 season campaign at Adams State.

Adams State opened up the scoring in the 15th minute with a goal.

The Cowgirls took a total of seven shots, four of which were on goal.

Adams State then scored three more times in the second half. Two of which were penalty kicks.

Finishing the game off as a loss for the Cowgirls 4-0.

The injury bug and the age of this Cowgirls squad were a big part of the season. Having 15 freshmen, this young squad has a chance to take a considerable leap forward next season.

Coach Amanda Evans said, "We're really proud of the players for pushing through this season, given the fact that they have had so many injuries. Despite our best efforts to stay healthy, when they've needed to come together and support each other, they have. We knew coming into this season that we were going to be young and that often brings some growing challenges. Still, we are very confident in what our team has shown this season —the great improvement they've made and the higher level of skill we've brought to the conference. We're excited to be able to work with these players this spring to get them stronger physically and mentally for next fall, where we plan to set a new trend."
