Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls raced past visiting Westminster 81-56 on Thursday night to improve to 12-9 overall. NMHU is in a three way tie in the RMAC with UCCS and Adams State at 9-6 in conference play.
Freshman
Kapiolani Anitielu scored a game high 26 points to pace the Cowgirls.
Aspen Salazar scored 17 points and
Juliana Aragon tallied 15 points. Aragon also had a game high five assists.
Adrianna Torrez was the Cowgirls leading rebounder with seven.
The Cowgirls host RMAC leading Colorado Mesa, 78-71 winners at Fort Lewis on Thursday, on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm.
