Dominguez Steps Down As NMHU Men's Basketball Coach

Las Vegas, New Miexco — New Mexico Highlands University has been informed by head men's basketball coach Michael Dominguez that he is stepping down from that position and will not seek a new contract. Dominguez's current contract expires on Monday, March 31.

Dominguez concludes his six-year tenure as the Cowboys' head coach with a 66-74 record. He finished the 2024 season at 12-16 and 5-15 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

NMHU has initiated a search for its next head basketball coach.
