Alva, Oklahoma- Day two of the Cowgirls' road trip before returning home for conference play took them to Oklahoma.
The Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State scored just under halfway in the first quarter with a goal. Late in the 37th minute, they followed up with another goal to make it a 2-0 game.
The Cowgirls' defense stood strong in the second half and didn't give up another score, but the offense could not find the net to score. The Cowgirls' eight shots did not fall, and the Cowgirls ultimately fell short with the final score being 2-0.
The Cowgirls will now begin preparation for conference play with Black Hills State—the conference opener against the Yellowjackets will be on September 26th at 4 PM at Cinder Road.
