Las Vegas, NM– The Cowgirls played their first game against one of the schools from South Dakota this weekend beginning with South Dakota Mines

South Dakota Mines had all the control early on taking a large lead early on and continued to pile on the in first set. Despite the Hardrockers having the early lead the Cowgirls found life later in the set and began to battle back in the set. However, the lead was too much to overcome and the Hardrockers took the set.

Set two was a tight battle as the biggest lead set two prior to the media timeout was two held by the Hardrockers early in the set. Out the media timeout the Hardrocker went on a four point run to make it a five-point lead. The Hardrockers were able to use that lead to close out set two.

The Cowgirls came out in a tight battle in set three and again only trailed by one at the media timeout. The Hardrockers immediately came out on a run forcing a Cowgirls timeout to slow momentum. However, The Hardrockers continued with their momentum the Cowgirls would not go away though as they brought the lead within four. The Cowgirls were able to get a bit of help in the error department from the Hardrockers but not enough help as the Hardrockers captured the victory by five in the third set to complete the sweep
