Patreece Clarke Earns National Athlete of the Week Honors

New Orleans, Louisiana - Senior Patreece Clarke has been named the NCAA Division II Women's Track Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA following her opening-week performance in Pueblo.

Fresh off her NCAA indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles, Clarke opened her outdoor campaign with a winning time of 13.02 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational. The mark ranks No. 10 in NCAA Division II history, surpassing Kia Davis of Saint Augustine's.

Clarke becomes the second New Mexico Highlands women's outdoor track athlete to earn USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors, joining Salcia Slack, who received the award on April 14 and May 5, 2015.

New Mexico Highlands returns to action April 9th in Canyon, Texas, at the Jo Meaker Classic & Multi.
