Cowgirls Close Out Season With a Win

Las Vegas, NM- The Cowgirls finished off the 2026 season today in Historic Las Vegas. 

Game 3: Colorado School of Mines (Mines) 11 -  NMHU 5
Game three of the series started off with a three-run inning by Mines in the first. Followed by two more in the second.
The Cowgirls got on the board as Jazmyn Griego scored on a pass ball.
Mines followed up in the third with another run to make it 6-1.
The Cowgirls scored on a Shaylene Saladin RBI single.
Mines then got another in the fourth.
Giana Marez goes big fly to get the Cowgirls a run, followed by an Andrea DeLaTrinidad RBI single later in the inning.
Mines got three more in the fifth.
Cowgirls got one in the 6th via an error.
Mines got one more in the 7th, and that would be the final nail in the coffin as the Cowgirls fall in game three.

Game 4: Mines 6  -  NMHU 8
The game began 1-0 as Mines got one in the first.
After two scoreless innings, the Cowgirls got on the board in the fourth, getting four in the inning. Shaylene Saladin singled to two one, followed by a Jazmyn Griego sac fly, then an Aliya Rhees single to center to score one more. Then an Aliya Rhees single got one more.
In the fourth, Cheyenne Ben singled to score one in the fourth, making it 5-1.
Mine's got five in the 5th to bring it to a one-run lead for the Orediggers.
Then Jazmyn Griego scored on a rundown that Olivia Boswell was caught in, and on an error, Boswell advanced to second.
Hallie Watkins singled in the 6th to score a run, and after that, Hannah Hopkins scored on a passed ball.
The Orediggers would go three up three down in the 7th and the Cowgirls would close the season with a win.
