FRESHMAN: Played in 28 games (18 starts) for the Cowboys, averaging 7.1 points per game … Was second on the team in 3-point percentage (42.3 percent) and made 3-pointers (52) … Scored a season-high 18 points – including hitting a season-best six 3-pointers – against Western State on Feb. 20, 2018.

HIGH SCHOOL: Is New Mexico’s all-time leading scorer with 2,689 points in his five years at the varsity level for West Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico – beating a record that had stood since 1977 … Played for his father David Bustos his final four years in high school … West Las Vegas went a combined 94-52 during his five years – including 85-33 and two state title game appearances in his last four seasons with the Dons.

PERSONAL: Son of David and Mary Bustos … Brother Justin Bustos also played for NMHU and is currently a graduate assistant in the athletics communications department at NMHU.
