Biography

Rashad, nicknamed Shad, is a 6’2 Senior Guard from Dallas, Texas majoring in Human Performance Science. His interests are playing sports, hanging out, travelling, family cookouts and listening to music. He has earned honors as the RMAC player of the week and RMAC West Division 2nd Team. His favorite professional athlete is Kobe Bryant. His family includes mother Alfreda Bates, father Lawrence Peterson, and siblings Monique Peterson and Chris Bates. After graduation he would like to pursue a basketball career overseas, finish up his degree and see the world. He most admires his mom because she is the woman who showed him how to work and his father because he put a crazy work ethic in him and God because without him none of this would be possible.
