Meg Grose was named head volleyball coach at New Mexico Highlands University on December 11, 2023, returning to Las Vegas after previously serving on the Cowgirls’ coaching staff.
In her second season leading the program, Grose guided the Cowgirls to a big turnaround in the 2025 campaign, recording the program’s most wins since 2013 and securing its first home record above .500 in more than 20 years.
Under her direction, New Mexico Highlands has produced back-to-back all-conference selections. Arianna Jamerson earned Honorable Mention All-RMAC honors in 2025, while Jaylee Gonzales was named Honorable Mention All-RMAC in 2024.
The Cowgirls have also made strides in the classroom under Grose’s leadership, posting a 3.30 team GPA. Four student-athletes were named to the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Volleyball Academic Honor Roll.
Grose earned her first victory at New Mexico Highlands on September 13, 2024, with a 3-1 win over Sul Ross State. She recorded her first RMAC win on September 20, 2024, leading the Cowgirls to a five-set victory over Adams State.
Prior to her return to New Mexico Highlands, Grose spent the 2023 season as head coach at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. She led the Vikings to their best conference record since 2019 and coached a Midwest Conference Player of the Week honoree. Grose earned her first collegiate head coaching victory on September 8, 2023, with a 3-0 win over Alverno College.
Grose previously served as an assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands from 2020 to 2022, working as the program’s offensive coordinator and setters coach. During that time, she contributed to the development of setter Soleil Gandara, who surpassed 2,000 career assists, while also assisting with recruiting efforts.
She began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Southern Arkansas University from 2018 to 2020, earning a master’s degree in special education.
A four-year starting setter at Peru State College, Grose was a two-time team captain and ranks among the program’s top 10 in career assists and service aces. She was also a two-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Grose earned all-state, all-section and all-district honors at Peoria High School.
