Thunderwolves Edge Out Cowboys 87-82

The NMHU Cowboys fell to the Thunderwolves of CSU-Pueblo on 1/28 by a final score of 87-82. The Thunderwolves would finish the night with five players in double digits in the win as well as shooting an impressive 51% from the field. The Cowboys would finish the night with two players in double digits and shooting 36% from the field as a team. With the loss, the Cowboys drop to 13-5 on the season and 9-5 in RMAC play.

Thomas Manzano and Momcilo Latinovic would be the lone Cowboys in double figures for the night. Manzano would finish the night leading all scorers with 31 points, six rebounds and one blocked shot. Latinovic finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the Cowboys loss. As a team, the Cowboys finished the night shooting 36% from the field and 32% from the three point line. The Cowboys did excel at the free throw line as they sank 23 of 32 attempts as they shot 72% from the charity stripe for the night.

The Cowboys will be looking to get on track when they hit the hardwood again on 1/29 as they travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. to take on the Mountain Lions of the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
