The Cowboy basketball team lit up the court on 2/4 as they ran through the Grizzlies of Adams State College by a final score of 90-81. The Cowboys would finish the night with four players in double figures in the win. With the victory, NMHU improves to 15-5 on the season and 11-5 in RMAC play.
The Cowboys would jump on the Grizzlies early as they would lead 15-4 within the first four minutes of play. The Cowboys would have one of their better nights shooting as they finished shooting 53% from the field and 74% from the free throw line. The Cowboy defense would also have a great night as the Cowboys forced 23 ASC turnovers and racked up 14 steals against the Grizzlies.
Thomas Manzano led the Cowboys in scoring with 22 points on the night and added in six rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot and three steals for his night's totals.
Mindaugas Markevicius finished with 18 points and one rebound.
Chris Newsome would round out the Cowboys top three with 17 points scored, five rebounds, six assists and one blocked shot.
