Cowgirls Second Straight Win on the Road

Box Score Chadron, Neb. – The Cowgirl Volleyball team won another close one on the road in tonight's match, Oct. 19, against Chadron State College.  The Cowgirls, led by Head Coach Bryan Crawford, improve to 4-7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and 10-10 in overall play.

Your Cowgirls were off to a great start, winning the first set and senior Darian Mullen lead her team with four kills (25-20).

Going into the second set your Cowgirls were down the whole set and ended up letting the second set go (25-22).

In the third set, the Cowgirls still struggled and just could not get a lead. The Eagles took the third set (25-22).

In the fourth set, the Cowgirls turned it around and banged it out to win it and take the Eagles into one last game. Your Cowgirls won the fourth set (25-17).

In the fifth set, the set was tough until your Cowgirls rallied up some big points to end the exciting match in Chadron. The Cowgirls take the last set and the win on the road (15-10).

The top performers for the Cowgirls tonight were Darian Mullen with 21 kills and eight digs, Jessica Piper with 30 digs and Tarissa Mellin with 20 assists.
