Box Score 2 Las Vegas, N.M. – The NMHU Volleyball Cowgirls split this weekend (Nov. 8-9) against Western State Colorado University and Adams State University. Your Cowgirls couldn't get passed the Grizzlies (Nov.08), but got the win on senior night (Nov. 09) against the Mountaineers. The Cowgirls, led by Head Coach
Bryan Crawford, are 6-11 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and 12-14 in overall play.
ASU 3 – NMHU 1
First set was close the whole time but the Grizzlies came out with the win (25-22). Then in the second set, the Cowgirls were behind to start but picked it up and took the win (25-21).
After the break, the Grizzlies came out and took the third set (25-20). Then going into the fourth set, the Cowgirls just could not get it and the Grizzlies won (25-17).
The top performers were
Darian Mullen with 19 kills and
Marina Samoa with 11 kills and 20 digs.

On senior night (Nov. 09),
Darian Mullen,
Marina Samoa and,
Kaitlyn Duckworth were honored at the beginning of the game.
The first set started off great, the Cowgirls had the lead at (11-4). The Mountaineers did not back down though and got back in the game. Until the Cowgirls turned it on again and took the first set (25-22).
The second set, The Mountaineers were in the lead but the Cowgirls came back and after some errors by the Mountaineers. The Cowgirls took the second set (25-20).
After the break, your Cowgirls were ready and won the last set (25-16).
The top performer was
Darian Mullen with 13 kills.
