Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- A chilly Friday night, a large crowd ,for NMHU Cowgirls and UTPB Falcons.
At 6:57 p.m. the Cowgirls took possession of the ball. There were a lot of shots in the first half, but the Cowgirls only 2 goals while,the Falcons weren't able to get on the board . The crowd cheered loudly building the girls up. There were 8 shots, 5 of those shots were on target, and 1 attempt from the Cowgirls; while the Falcons had 4 shots, 2 shots that were on target. UTBP'S goalkeeper Ebony Campbell made 3 saves during the first, but also allowed 2 past her. NMHU's goalkeeper
Apolonia Thomas had 2 saves and 0 goals allowed. ,
Molly Mortensen, #21, made a goal with an assist from
Clarissa Estrella with only about 4 minutes left in the first half. With only 14 seconds left on the clock
Mallory Bostic's shot was blocked by Campbell, but luckily
Anyssa Dagnino was there to clean it up.
The second half was very uneventful, continuing with the failed shots and attempts., No goals until 7 minutes left in the game made by UTBP'S Erica Ancich., NMHU'S
Nicole Millar made the final goal with 3 minutes left on the clock., There were no more shots made after Millar's goal. The Cowgirls take the win 3-1!Â
