Las Vegas, NM- The New Mexico Highlands Women's Soccer team returns home to kick off Friday night's Breast Cancer Awareness game. They play the Westminster College-Utah Griffins on October 21
st at 7:00 p.m. Then Sunday October 23rd will be Senior Day as the Cowgirls face Colorado Mesa University at 1 pm.
New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls: The Cowgirls will come into the weekend with a 2-9-1 overall record, and a 2-6 RMAC record. They will look to have a solid weekend against the Griffins and the Mavericks. The Cowgirls will be led by Seniors
Anyssa Dagnino and
Salina Lucero. Dagnino and Lucero have 3 goals each on the season and they will be counted on to generate some offense. Freshman goalkeeper
Makenna Luster has 32 saves on the year. Luster has added 2 shutouts to her name this season.

Westminster College-Utah Griffins: The Griffins will come to Las Vegas with an impressive 8-2-3 overall record, and a 5-1-3 RMAC record. They are led by the pair of seniors Madison Roemer and Heidi Lorschider. Roemer is a huge piece of the Griffins success as she has knocked in 9 goals to this point of the season. Lorschider has chipped in 5 goals of her own this year. Junior goalkeeper Breanna Empey has racked up 32 saves. Slowing down Roemer is a must for the Cowgirls.

Colorado Mesa University Mavericks: The Mavericks come in with a 7-5-2 overall record, and a 5-3-1 RMAC record. Freshman Alexis Allard has been one of the Mavericks best players this far. She has scored 3 goals on the year. Sophomore Mackenzie King is another young scorer for Colorado Mesa. So far, she has found the back of the net 3 times. Sophomore goalkeeper Janelle Richmond-Buccola has 31 saves on the year.
