Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowboys found their shot as they rode past Colorado Mesa 99-95. Despite Mesa's Ryan Stephan having 37 points, the Cowboys managed to shoot 50% from the field and drain 16 three pointers.

Ron Lawton and
Marlon Johnson both had stellar nights as Lawton had 28 points and Johnson had another double-double.

The Cowboys came out to play from tip off as they went on a 15-2 lead, with the help of two three pointer from Healy, to start the night. The Mavericks would pick up their play and go on an 11-0 run.

With 8:28 in the half, the boys would be up 19-17. Both teams would go back and forth until the Mavericks tied the game at 30-30. The Cowboys would lose the lead but regain it right back with a monster dunk by Johnson who was assisted by Lawton, who also had an impressive dunk of his own tonight.

The boys would go into the half up 40-36.

In the second half, the game would intensify, as both teams would trade shots. The Cowboys would maintain their lead as the Mavs' best player, Ryan Stephans, began to heat up. Stephans had 27 points in the half.

With 10:38 in the game, the Cowboys were up 65-57. As the game continued, the boys were unwilling to give up their lead. Until the last minute of the game, the Mavs could not get the deficit under six.

With a minute left, the Mavs began to drain three pointers and the score would be 93-90 Cowboys. After made free throws by the Cowboys and a couple shots from the Mavs, the score would be 99-95 Cowboys.

Jonathon Mines, who had 22 points, made 2 free throws to lengthen the lead. The Mavs would attempt to come back but the Cowboys would come out on top with the win.
