The Cowgirls recently played Monday, September 5th at Perkin Stadium against Midwestern State and the game ended in a tie in double overtime. The Cowgirls advanced to 0-1-1 overall and 0-0 in the RMAC. The Cowgirls are led by Head Coach
Oscar Mendoza who is in his second year.
On Monday, freshman goal keeper,
Makenna Luster had a good game defensively. She had three of her eight saves in the second half.  Luster also came up big for the Cowgirls as the time ran out with two saves that stopped the Mustangs from taking the win home.
The Cowgirls look forward to their match up against the Lady Buffs.

The Lady Buffs are ranked #4 in the Lone Star Conference pre-season polls. West Texas A&M is 0-2 overall and 0-0 in Conference play. The Lady Buffs recently played Metropolitan State University of Denver (RMAC), falling to them 0-2. They also faced another RMAC team last Saturday, September 3rd at Colorado School of Mines losing to them 0-1. The Lady Buffs are led by Chad Webb who is in his seventh season.
