LAS VEGAS, N.M. ---Â It's the final full weekend of action for RMAC men's basketball as New Mexico Highlands continues to jockey for position as the Cowboys host MSU Denver on Friday and Chadron State on Saturday at Wilson Complex..
NMHU at 11-8 in
RMAC play sits in seventh place with the top eight teams making the RMAC Tournament (the top four host in the first round). With three games to go (NMHU ends the season at CSU-Pueblo the following week), the Cowboys are a game back of Colorado Mesa for sixth, two games back of Dixie State, UCCS and Black Hills State who are in a three-way tie for third, a game ahead of Adams State for the eighth-and-final spot and two games ahead of Chadron State who sits in ninth.
The Cowboys will also honor their five seniors prior to Saturday's game as

Adrian LaFleur and
Nnamdi Okoro play their final home game for NMHU.
THE COWBOYS COMING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Cowboys are looking to end a three-game losing streak after dropping both games on the road last weekend, falling at No. 11 Colorado School of Mines 100-73 on Friday and at UC Colorado Springs 94-83 on Saturday.
Raquan Mitchell paced the Cowboys during the weekend, averaging 29.5 points per game over the weekend while going 10-for-19 from 3-point range.Â
The Cowboys continue to lead the conference in scoring at 86.2 points per game, but have fallen to fifth in scoring margin at +4.7. NMHU also leads the conference in steals per game (9.0) and turnover margin (+6.24 - leads by nearly five turnovers per game).
The Cowboys split when they hit the road to take on Chadron State and MSU Denver - falling to the Eagles 80-69 and defeating the Roadrunners 83-81.

The Roadrunners ended a four-game losing streak last weekend when it swept a pair of games at home against Black Hills State (72-51) and South Dakota Mines (80-60). In the win over BHSU, Kendall McIntosh led four MSU Denver players in double figures with 18 points while Marcus Jefferson had a strong all-around game with 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. In the win over South Dakota Mines, Druce Asah led the team with 20 points while Demetrius Jackson had 16 points - including going 4-for-4 from 3-point range. Asah leads the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game while Garrett Carter (12.0) and Kendall McIntosh (11.4) are also averaging double figures.

The Eagles split its home games last weekend, beating South Dakota Mines 69-65 on Friday and falling to Black Hills State on Saturday, 77-71. In the win over Mines, Michael Sparks led the team with 18 points off of the bench as Chadron State recovered from a 12-point halftime deficit to beat the Hardrockers. In the loss to the Yellow Jackets (a game they led by seven with 10 minutes remaining), Diontae Champion led the team with 21 points and eight rebounds while Colby Jackson had 17 points - going 5-for-7 from 3-point range.Â
