GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. --- The New Mexico Highlands baseball team dropped the series finale to No. 1 Colorado Mesa 10-1 on Saturday at Suplizio Field.

Despite racking up 11 hits, the Cowboys (15-27 overall, 8-20 RMAC) mustered just one run in the contest coming in the fifth inning on a
Carlos Ramirez RBI double to cut the Mavericks' (33-8, 22-6) lead to 7-1. CMU added another run in the bottom of the fifth and two more in the sixth to make the final 10-1.

Auggie Francis led the Cowboys at the plate, going 3-for-5.
Joe Cilladi went 2-for-5 with a run for NMHU while
Travis Spruiell was 2-for-4.
Cameron Polich picked up the loss, going 2.1 innings and giving up four runs on five hits with three walks and a strikeout.
Tyler Winkler was solid in relief, pitching the final 2.1 innings without giving up a run and surrendering just one hit.
