SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team were outscored 49-29 in the second half and fell to Black Hills State 91-69 on Saturday at the Donald E. Young Sports & Fitness Center.
The Cowboys (5-5, 0-4) shot just 32.3 percent in the second half - including going 3-for-11 from 3-point range - in being outscored by 20 points in the second half.
Desmond Carpenter led NMHU with 22 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals.
Marcus Brown had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists while
Darius Harrison had nine points and five rebounds.
The Cowboys return to action 4 p.m. Sunday at Chadron State.
