GOLDEN, Colo. --- The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team led at the half, but a late run by Colorado School of Mines led to a 68-62 loss Wednesday night at Lockridge Arena.Â
The Cowboys led 50-49 after an
Andre Adams layup with 7:26 to play before the Orediggers went on a 15-2 run capped by a Brendan Sullivan jumper with 2:15 left in the contest to take a 64-52 lead. NMHU wouldn't get closer than six the rest of the way.
Adams led the Cowboys with 18 points to go along with six rebounds.
Sammy Barnes-Thompkins had 15 points, four rebounds and four assists while
Desmond Carpenter had 13 points. Ja'Vary Christmas added a team-high 11 rebounds.
NMHU returns to action on Friday at South Dakota Mines.
