Everyone is excited to get the indoor season going -- our women have been working extremely hard with coach Russell and coach Dunbar while I have been with the cross country teams-- it's always exciting to start a new season and get a feel for what we have as a team.
It's early to "name names", but we have an NCAA national qualifier back in Katy Scott and she looks better than ever in training.Â
We signed some quality athletes have a number of athletes back who placed in conference last year, so we're very optimistic as coaches.

Among the top returnees are Scott as well as
Lucia Harrison,
Beatrice Armijo,
Alissa Martinez,
Chisom Obioha and
Selisa Palmer -- who each earned All RMAC status a year ago.
Newcomers Patreece Clarke (hurdles), Ashley Barrett (sprints), Nadine Rose (400/800) and Ahshareah Enoe (HJ) each bring marks that could get them in the podium at the RMAC Championships in February.
Western State is a great place to start the season, it's a top facility with a very quick track and good throws and jumps areas. The Cowgirls can't wait to get up there and begin competing.
The Cowgirls compete this Friday and Saturday in Gunnison, CO.
